Launching BIMA GLA #BIMAThirstday
February 25th saw the launch of BIMA Glasgow with the first #BIMAThirstday. Attendance figures at The Drygate brewery swelled above 130, made up of Glasgow’s best and brightest in the digital marketing and creative industry.
DigtialParade is proud to be a founding agency of @BIMA Glasgow, alongside Dog. Equally welcome was the support of media powerhouse, The Drum, who shared in the backing of this Glaswegian gathering which in truth, felt like it could easily have been taking place in the heart of Shoreditch.
@DigitalParade_ has a long standing relationship with BIMA in London, who amongst positioning themselves as the ‘glue’ of the digital industry in the UK, they also champion true digital and creative talent at a grass roots level, with initiatives such as ‘Digital Day’ bridging High School, College and University students with top agencies around the country.
Glasgow has a wealth of such talent, both those embryonic in their careers, as well as seasoned professionals and captains of industry. BIMA can offer individuals and agencies alike, a platform to learn and share creative ideas and insights with other like-minded marketeers in Glasgow and around the country.
It was also great to get first hand feedback from attendees at #BIMAThirstday. With networking and industry gatherings scares within the city, it seemed BIMA as a platform has opened the door for change and quelled a thirst with the positive reaction and clear appetite for such regular events.
Going forward, what’s planned for BIMA in Glasgow? Simple. A full programme of quarterly events, panel discussions and interaction opportunities across a spectrum of topics from music, fashion, sport and tech - all underpinned by digital as an enabler.
If you couldn’t make it along to the first event, be sure not to miss the second…DigitalParade are already working on making it even better, bringing a bit of the London lights, names and glamour to our home town, Glasgow.
DigitalParade TEAM.
